Jack E. Stellhorn, 94, passed away Wednesday, November 1, 2023 at his home in Holt, MI. with his daughter and son-in-law.
A funeral service will be held Wednesday, November 8, 2023 at 12:30 p.m. at Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater with Pastor Mark Case officiating. Interment will follow the service at Oak Grove Cemetery in Coldwater.
The family will receive guests for visitation Wednesday, November 8, 2023 from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home.
He was born September 3, 1929 to Fred and Abigail (Relue) Stellhorn in Ft. Wayne, IN. On August 12, 1950, Jack married Lucy (Flinchum) Northcutt in Ft. Wayne, IN. Jack and Lucy shared 62 years of marriage before she passed away on May 16, 2012.
Jack enjoyed a long and successful career with Peter Eckrich & Sons/ConAgra. He began his 40 year career in 1948 at the Ft. Wayne plant in an entry-level position and worked his way into upper level management. He was transferred to Quincy, MI. in 1971 to establish the new hotdog and distribution center, where he served as Distribution Center Manager until his retirement in 1989. He enjoyed providing guidance and support to all of those he worked with.
Jack and Lucy were charter members of the St. Matthews Lutheran Church in Ft. Wayne and attended the Reformation Lutheran Church after relocating to Coldwater, MI. Jack was an avid bowler and golfer. He and Lucy enjoyed spending time at their cottage on Golden Lake in Angola, IN. They loved spending time with family. Jack especially treasured time with his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. He will be dearly missed by all.
Jack leaves behind his loving children; DeWayne (Donna) Northcutt of Midland, TX, Dianna (David) Fleckenstein of Holt, MI; his sister Beverly Anders of Defiance, OH; his grandchildren Tammy Sprunger, Kerry Northcutt, Dedi Roundtree, John (Donna) Northcutt, Lance (Adrianna) Northcutt, Amanda Fleckenstein, Elizabeth (Keith Wing) Fleckenstein-Wing; 12 great grandchildren including the lights of his life Lucy and Charlie Fleckenstein-Wing, several great-great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews, and his beloved dog Casey.
In addition to his wife Lucy, Jack was preceded in death by his parents, his daughter Deborah Stellhorn, his sister Carole Shivley, and his brother Robert Stellhorn.
