BRONSON, MI (WTVB) – The Bronson Board of Education approved the hiring of Jessica Bucklin as Principal at Ryan Elementary School during their meeting on Monday night.
Bucklin is a Bronson native who most recently held the position of Director 9-12 Curriculum at Portage Public Schools.
She began her career as a teacher in Bellevue Public Schools. She subsequently transitioned to Sturgis Public Schools, where she served as a School Counselor and then as Assistant Principal, before assuming the role of Continuous Improvement MTSS and Curriculum Consultant at the Jackson Intermediate School District.
Superintendent Kate Wall said, “I’m excited to welcome Jessica to the team. Her track record of creating and implementing programs that positively impact students is impressive.”
Wall also expressed her gratitude to Leigh Parker, who stepped into the role of Interim Principal after the sudden resignation of Laurie Donor due to health concerns shortly before the school year started.
Parker will resume her duties as Title I Reading Interventionist when Bucklin starts at the end of the month.
