COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – A Coldwater man was sent back to prison on Monday in Branch County Circuit Court after entering a guilty plea to being in possession of a controlled substance.
35-year-old Michael Tyler Ball was ordered to serve 21 months to 15 years in the Department of Corrections on the charge he plead guilty to as well as to a second time habitual offender sentencing enhancer.
In exchange for his plea, prosecutors dismissed another possession of a controlled substance case along with two misdemeanor files.
Ball was given credit for 83 days already served.
He had been released last June from the M.D.O.C. after serving almost two years on an unarmed robbery charge following a robbery in September 2020 at the Coldwater Walmart store. Coldwater Police arrested him in August.
