Janice Lynn (Coe) Yesh, 76, of Coldwater passed away Monday, November 13, at her home, surrounded by her loving family and her dog “Daisy.”.
The family will receive friends Monday, November 20, 2023 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater. Interment of ashes will be at a later date at Dayburg Cemetery.
Jan was born February 15, 1947, in Hillsdale, MI to Harold, Sr. and Beulah Jean Coe.
Jan worked in the service industry for many years at various local restaurants and bars, including Restaurant Manager at the former Claremont House. She had also worked as a manager at both Royal Chevrolet and Alphabet Junction Daycare and as a Teacher’s Assistant at Jefferson School.
Jan proudly dedicated several years to living and caring for her elderly parents. Most recently she worked as the Office Administrator at EV Construction.
Jan was an active member of the Christian Pilgrim Church in Coldwater and also participated at Today’s Church of God in Quincy. She was very giving of her time to others and the community through her volunteer work with many service clubs, including the Lion’s and the Branch County Coalition Against Domestic and Sexual Violence, Hope Café. Jan loved the outdoors and living life on her family farm.
She was an artist, a writer, a decorator, a designer and crafty, to say the least. She loved indoor plants and playing Mahjong with her friends.
Jan was devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She adored her family and her animals and spent many years raising her grandchildren as her own.
Jan is survived by her children Marni Szafranski of Coldwater, Heidi (Dr. Sean) McKisic of Colorado Springs, CO, Tony (Jennifer) Szafranski of Coldwater; her very special niece Kyra Coe of Coldwater; her sister Joyce E. (Michael) Coe-Jakl of Tucson, AZ; her grandchildren Alica Gibson, Michael Ruhman, Legend Szafranski, Espen McKisic, Magnus McKisic, Maeve McKisic, Coe Szafranski, Kendyll Szafranski; great niece Jenny Summitt; her great grandchildren Adalie Smullen, Coelie Smullen, twins Anistin and Westin Smullen, Adler Gibson; her beloved Yorkie “Daisy” and many special family members and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents Harold and Jean Coe; her daughter Cami Szafranski and her brother Harold Coe, Jr.
