COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The case of a Coldwater man who is facing four charges following a domestic violence incident last month at a North Sprague Street residence has been bound over to Branch County Circuit Court.
27-year-old Tayler Jay Lorenz waived his Branch County District Court preliminary exam which was scheduled for Thursday.
He is facing charges of assault with intent to do great bodily harm less than murder, possession of methamphetamine, interference with electronic communications and domestic violence.
According the Branch County court documents, Lorenz is accused of assaulting a female acquaintance on October 21 and then running from the scene before being arrested in Hillsdale County.
As he was being checked into the Branch County Jail, authorities say Lorenz allegedly had methamphetamine in his wallet.
He is now scheduled to appear for a pre-trial conference in Circuit Court on December 4.
