COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – A new policy for residential brush, grass and yard waste collection was passed by the Coldwater City Council this past Monday night.
Department of Municipal Services Director Bob Granger says the program is intended for residents.
The new policy calls for brush collection to take place four times annually in April, May, October and November in addition to storm related pickups. Previously, there had been eight brush collections.
Coldwater Mayor Tom Kramer said the new policy was not etched in stone.
Coldwater city and township residents may drop off brush and bagged yard waste in paper bags only at the Department of Municipal Services at 45 Industrial Avenue. The compost site will be open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.. Between April and November, it will also be open on Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m..
Yard waste pickup will take place every Monday from April through October. If Monday is a holiday, collection will begin on Tuesday.
Fall leaf pickup will occur in October and November of each year.
