Anna Christine Rahrig, 100, of Coldwater passed away Saturday, November 18, 2023, at Maple Lawn Medical Care Facility, Coldwater.
A memorial service will be held Friday, December 8, 2023, at Lockwood Community Church at 12:00 p.m., officiated by Pastor Shane Looper.
Prior to the service there will be a memorial visitation from 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. at Lockwood Community Church.
Anna was born March 9, 2023 to Harry and Beulah (Bollinger) Trone in Astoria, IL. During World War II working as a Rosie the Riveter at Willow Run Bomber Plant, Anna met her husband, Raymond Rahrig, who proceeded her in death June 12, 1996.
Anna worked as a Supervisor for Coldwater Community Schools for many years, riding the school bus with the children to and from work. She was also the food director for Michindo Church Camp.
Anna was an active member at Lockwood Community Church and Order of Eastern Star in Coldwater and volunteered her time calling on people, and at the Branch County Fair booth for the church. S
he enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, bird watching, and horseback riding.
Anna is survived by her children Jerome (Carolyn) Rahrig of Coldwater, and Eldon Rahrig of Coldwater; her grandchildren Mark (Cheryl) Gallup, Scott (Sherri) Gallup, Craig (Elisa) Gallup, Courtney Gallup, Megan (Mason) Harbaugh, Carlee Gallup, and Trisha Gallup; great grandchildren Makieha, Kaden, Sawyer; and her nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, Anna was preceded in death by her siblings Harry Trone Jr., and Collis Trone; and daughter in law Candy Rahrig.
Memorials may be made to Lockwood Community Church.
