LUDINGTON, MI (WTVB) – A small plane crash near Ludington on Sunday morning killed a Steuben County couple.
Authorities say 60-year-old Randy Strebig, his 43-year-old wife Allison Wheaton and their two dogs perished in the crash
The single engine fixed-wing plane crashed and caught fire just after taking off from the Mason County Airport.
The couple were visiting family in the Ludington area. They had just gotten married in September.
Strebig is the founder of Strebig Construction in Fort Wayne.
He was also the President of the Indiana Seaplane Pilots Association which organizes the Lake James Splash-In held every September at Pokagon State Park.
