Lowell Martin Kelly, 88, of Coldwater passed away Monday, November 27, 2023, at ProMedica Coldwater Regional Hospital.
No services will be held at this time.

Lowell was born April 8, 1935, in Coopersville, MI to Asa and Hazel (Easterly) Kelly. He married Norma Dalrymple on June 15, 1957, in Detroit, MI. She preceded him in death on March 19, 2015.
Lowell graduated from Michigan State University in 1957 and earned his law degree from the University of Michigan in 1960. He had a law practice in Coldwater for many years and served as the county prosecutor for four years in the 1960’s.
He was elected to be a Branch County Commissioner in the late 1970’s and served as chairman of the Board.
Lowell had a lifelong love of animals and farming. He owned and operated Kelnor Farms in Coldwater for many years and was known for his “pick your own strawberries.” Lowell was an outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing.
He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Lowell is survived by his children Gregory (Deborah) Kelly of Pinehurst, NC, Kathy (David Roggeman) Kelly of North Royalton OH; his siblings Dr. Larry Kelly of Saginaw, and Dorothy Kempker of Grand Rapids; his grandchildren Connor Kelly, Collin Kelly, Christopher Kelly, Joel Roggeman and Klaire (Jeremy Horvath) Roggeman.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by two sisters Betty and Mariellen, and 4 brothers, James, Nathan Dale, Asa Jr. and Kenneth.
Memorial contributions in the name of Lowell may be directed to the Humane Society of Branch County or to the Branch County Commission on Aging.
