19-year-old female from Burr Oak is safe after being reported as missing

BURR OAK, MI (WTVB) – St. Joseph County Undersheriff Jason Bingaman says 19-year-old Madyson Vanwormer of Burr Oak has been located and is safe.

Vanwormer had been reported as missing by the St. Joseph County Sheriff’s Department on Wednesday morning.

Her family had not heard from her since last Saturday when she left her home on Henry Street in Burr Oak.

The Sheriff’s Department said in a news release that she was seen leaving her home in an unknown direction without her shoes on and without her cell phone.
