COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater Polar Bears swim team started their middle school season with a roar Wednesday night as they swept Battle Creek Middle School at the Browne Aquatic Center. The Coldwater girls won 75-33 while the boys won 66-24.
The boys and girls qualified for six state cuts in their first meet.
Ivan McConnell qualified in the 50Fly and 100Back. Aubrey Eberts qualified in the 100IM and 50Fly. Wyatt Lanning qualified in the 50Free.
The relay of Ivan McConnell, Wyatt Lanning, Redmond Hayes and Noah Kopkowski qualified in the 400Free relay.
The Polar Bears swim again next Mon when they travel to Lakeview.
