QUINCY, MI (WTVB) – Quincy Community Schools will be closed for a second straight day on Friday.
In a message posted on the district’s Facebook page on Thursday night, Superintendent Marc Kramer said they received another picture with a caption that contains a concerning message and that the message was found again on social media.
The statement went on to say the message is general and does not threaten any specific person or group of people or building.
Kramer says the Quincy Police Department has been contacted and the message was shared with them.
He went on to say that given this new development on Thursday evening, Quincy Community Schools will be closed again on Friday, December 8, 2023, to investigate.
Kramer added, “We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause but we must take appropriate precautions to provide a safe environment for our staff and students.”
Anyone with additional information that would be helpful to this investigation is asked to e-mail Kramer at kramerm@quincyschools or call (517) 639-7141.
