But the Quincy Chamber of Commerce posted an announcement on its Facebook page at midday on Friday that said, “in consideration of the recent investigation into a concerning message received at Quincy Community Schools, The Village of Quincy and The Quincy Chamber of Commerce have made the difficult decision to postpone the annual Quincy Lights Celebration until next Friday, December 15th, 2023.”
The post went on to say, “The well being of our patrons is a top priority and want all those that attend to feel safe when enjoying a night in Quincy.”
There will be no change to the schedule of events for Quincy Lights which will be held between 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. next Friday night.
