BRANCH COUNTY, MI (WTVB) – The Union City Chargers scored five lopsided victories as they captured the Delton Kellogg Invitational championship on Saturday.
The Chargers defeated Paw Paw 62-9, Parchment and Comstock both by 83-0 scores, Ionia 69-12 and Delton Kellogg 68-6.
Union City is now 7-0 for the season.
Bronson went 3-2 at the JAWS Invitational in Jackson. The Vikings defeated Jackson Northwest 42-24, Eaton Rapids 54-23 and Parma Western 50-21 but lost to Manchester 38-27 and Mason 47-23.
Logan Long, Layne Knisley, Carson Norton were all 5-0 on the day while Mason Lindsey and Jacob Britten were 4-1.
Quincy finished fifth out of 11 teams on Saturday at the annual Grover Memorial Invitational in Concord. Oriole wrestlers earning individual medals include: Blaik Pierce 4th, Chayse Jensen 2nd, Caleb Rose 4th, Karter Pierce 4th, Evan Yeakey 4th, Micha Paul 2nd, Grayson Laney 3rd, and Landon Bearden 3rd.
