COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater Cardinal basketball teams split their non-conference doubleheader against Olivet Tuesday night at the Coach Floyd Eby Gymnasium.
The Lady Cards improved to 3-0 with a commanding 51-12 victory against a shorthanded Eagle squad that finished with 30 turnovers. Coldwater led 14-3 after the first quarter and 28-5 at the break.
Elli Foley and Kenzie Scheid scored 10 points apiece to lead Coldwater, with Scheid adding 5 rebounds. Rylie VanAken and Jaelah Sloah had 9 points apiece.

In the nightcap, the Cardinal boys could not overcome a 14-4 first quarter and fell to the Eagles 58-46 to drop to 1-4 on the season. Zach Coffing led the team with 11 points and 6 rebounds, while Ayden Dirschell had a double-double with 10 points, 11 rebounds, and 5 assists. Austin Downs added 10 points, and Gavin Taylor had 9.
