Mary Alice (Kipfer) Paradine, 95 of Coldwater passed away peacefully Thursday, December 28, 2023 at The Laurels of Coldwater.
A funeral service will be held Friday, January 5, 2024 at 10:30 a.m. at Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater. Interment will follow the service at Lockwood Cemetery.
The visitation will be that morning from 9:30 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home.
She was born February 11, 1928 to Ernest and Alice (Macey) Kipfer in Battle Creek, MI. On November 10, 1946 Mary married Rodney Paradine and he preceded her in death on January 8, 1997.
Mary graduated from Coldwater High School in 1946 where she then began her working career with Federal Mogul but would ultimately retire from Dr. Pike’s office of Radiology in Coldwater after many dedicated years. She was a faithful member of Lockwood Community Church and was a talented seamstress and cook.
Mary loved to make quilts and sew Barbie clothes; in the kitchen, she enjoyed baking cakes, pies, and always Christmas cookies to be shared with her loved ones and friends.
She also held a passion for crafts, puzzles, and tending to her gardens; but above all else, Mary cherished her family.
Mary leaves behind her children Garrett Paradine of Kill Devil Hills, NC, Rick (Brenna) Paradine, Jack Paradine both of Coldwater; her siblings Betty Barnes, Jack (Carol) Kipfer both of Coldwater; her stepsisters Betty Joe Johnson, Clarice Johnson both of Lexington, KY; her grandchildren Mary Avery Paradine, Aaron Manifold, Jacob Manifold, Jamie Daniels and her loving nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband Rodney, she was preceded in death by her parents.
