Lawrence G. McDonald, 79, of Quincy passed away Saturday, December 30, 2023, at his home.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 3, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at the Coldwater Seventh-day Adventist Church with Pastor Bayani Pastrana officiating.
The family will receive friends for visitation Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
The graveside service will take place Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. at Whig Center Cemetery.
He was born October 26, 1944, in Coldwater to Joseph and Louise (Smith) McDonald. He married Jacqueline Seamans on September 6, 1963, and she survives.
Larry was a lifelong farmer and welder in Quincy. In his spare time, he loved being outdoors and cutting wood.
Surviving besides his wife, Jacqueline, are five children, Robert (Mary) McDonald of Quincy, Rodney (Roxanne) McDonald of Tekonsha, Aaron McDonald of Quincy, Jessica (Shaun) Blevins of Athens and Dave Parshall of Burr Oak; 13 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Jeanette and Margaret; two brothers, Robert and Richard; and one grandson, Cody McDonald.
Memorial donations are suggested to the Humane Society of Branch County.
