BRONSON, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater bowling teams were swept by the Sturgis Trojans in a non conference meet on Monday afternoon at the Strike Zone in Bronson.
The Coldwater Varsity girls were edged by Sturgis 16 to 14. They lost both regular games 759 to 704 and 736 to 681, losing totals 1495 to 1385. They took both Baker games 140 to 138 and 152 to 135, taking totals 292 to 273. The Coldwater girls were led by Lily Cook with a 179 game.
Sturgis defeated Coldwater 23 to 7 in the Varsity boys match. Coldwater split the regular games, losing game one, 868 to 588, winning game two 787 to 774, losing totals 1642 to 1375. They lost both Baker games 197 to 194 and 175 to 123, losing totals 372 to 317. Coldwater boys were led by Brady Hawver with a 186 and Lennon Swick with a 184.
The JV’s bowled a split squad as Sturgis only had 3 JV bowlers.
