Connie Jo Slack, 66, of Bronson, passed away Wednesday, January 10, 2024, in Angola.
Cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be held at a later date in Bronson, MI and Elmira, MI. Arrangements are being cared for by Dutcher Funeral Home.
Connie was born April 5, 1957, to Norman and Vera (Ward) Mock in Sturgis, MI.
Connie worked for many convenient stores, but Pat and Bud’s Grocery in Elmira, MI was her favorite. She enjoyed the outdoors, gardening, camping, fishing, and bird watching, especially the hummingbirds. She also enjoyed cooking, crocheting, reading, and all different kinds of puzzles.
Connie is survived by her father, Norman Mock; her children Amber (Steve Green) Rahn of Gaylord, MI, Jenny (Frank) Moore of Gaylord, MI, and Ben Smoker of Bronson; her siblings Su Diamond of Bronson, Brian (LouAnn) Mock of Sylacauga, AL, Tim (Carolyn) Weage of Bronson, Tamara Warner of Bronson, Tracy Weage of Battle Creek, Teanna (Scott) Jones of Sparta, MI; her grandchildren Kaylee (Calib Stewart) Rahn, Harrison (Bri) Rahn, Keagan Smoker-Moore, Kyle Smoker-Moore, Kameron Moore, Chelsea Moore, Kwintyn Moore, Blake Smoker, and Brooklyn Smoker; her great-grandchild Leo Smoker-Moore; and many nieces and nephews. Connie was preceded in death by her mother’s Marcia Mock and Vera Manwarren; brother Terry Mock, and sister Brenda Jolliff; and her special friend Jim Powers.
Memorials may be directed to the funeral home to help pay for funeral expenses.
