QUINCY, MI (WTVB) – The Quincy School Board is scheduled to interview seven candidates during a special meeting Monday evening to fill an open position on the School Board after Greg Richer’s recent resignation.
Richer was the Board Vice Chair. He resigned on December 22 after serving on the board for eight years.
The seven candidates are Vanessa Crandall, Dee Dee Davenport, Rich Field, Bryan Lah, Chelsea Lofton, Jim Supianoski and Dennis Taylor.
Whoever is appointed will serve out the balance of Richer’s term which ends on December 31, 2024.
The appointed candidate would be eligible to seek election to a full six year term on this November’s ballot. The six-year term would begin on January 1, 2025.
The special meeting to fill the board vacancy is scheduled to start at 5:00 p.m.. The regular board meeting will follow at 6:30 p.m.. Election of officers for 2024 are among the items on the agenda.
