UNION CITY, MI (WTVB) – Union City Community Schools will be closed for all students K-12 on Wednesday, January 17th due to lack of heat at the high school.
Transportation to and from the Calhoun Area Careers Center and Math & Science centers will be provided for those students who are able to make it to the school at the regular time.
According to a post on the district’s Facebook page, an underground boiler water line has apparently broken and needs to be repaired.
Crews on Tuesday were trying to locate the exact spot of the break and dig through the floor to make the repairs.
As of Tuesday afternoon, it is now known how long this will take.
