BRANCH COUNTY, MI (WTVB) – Area firefighters have had to deal with near zero temperatures over the last couple of days as they were called to multiple fires.
Quincy firefighters were called to a structure fire in the 1100 block of Wildwood Road east of Ray Quincy Road at around 11:40 a.m. on Tuesday. Coldwater, Fremont, Indiana and Lakeland firefighters provided mutual aid. The Branch County Sheriff’s Department were also on the scene handling traffic control.
That followed Monday afternoon fires at 968 Herricksville Road and at 439 Clizbe Road. The call on Clizbe Road happened about 40 minutes after Coldwater crews were called to a small fire at a home at 65 Harvey Street.
Crews had to go back to the Herricksville Road fire location on a rekindle call Tuesday morning.
Another structure fire was reported at about 7:40 p.m. Tuesday night at 1086 East Southern Road. Fremont firefighters responded and got mutual aid from Lakeland.
