COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The building at 50 East Chicago in Coldwater which used to be the site of JT’s Billiard Bar and Grill is now officially back in the hands of Tong Enterprises after legal action was taken in Branch County Circuit Court.
Eight months after its opening, the American Dreams Italian Steakhouse shut its doors in early November.
Tong Enterprises took American Dreams Bar and Grill and its owner Joe Galenski to court a few weeks later when they filed an exparte motion for possession pending a judgement claim and delivery.
On line court documents showed a service date of December 11. The court allowed for proper notice to the defendant during a motion hearing three days later.
When there was no response, the plaintiffs filed for a default ruling on January 8 which was granted by the court, thus closing the case.
After JT’S closed, a remodeling of the restaurant interior took place. American Dreams Italian Steakhouse opened in March of 2023.
Reviews from customers were mixed at best. The restaurant was also hampered by social media drama after negative reviews from customers were posted on line.

Hopefully something better will come out of all of this drama. Coldwater needs good places to eat since our population is skyrocketing with foreign workers being brought in to the area.
