COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Branch County Board of Commissioners formally approved a timeline on Tuesday afternoon for the hiring of a new County Administrator.
Current Administrator Bud Norman told Commissioners three weeks ago he will be retiring when his current contract expires at the end of 2024.
Commission Chair Tim Stoll put together the timeline.
It calls for elected officials and department heads to provide input to help identify key characteristics and criteria to be used in the process.
A recruitment consultant will be used to help with finding qualified candidates.
An interview committee of up to seven members will be formed. Interviews are anticipated to start in June with Commissioners tentatively scheduled to conduct final interviews in August.
The hiring of a new administrator is scheduled to take place in October.
