COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Branch County Board of Commissioners Chair Tim Stoll said during last Thursday’s Commissioners work session that he spoke to a couple of recruitment agencies that were referred by the Michigan Association of Counties as they start the search for a new County Administrator.
Whoever is hired would take over for Bud Norman who announced on January 4 he would be retiring when his contract runs out at the end of the year.
He was hired as the Branch County Administrator in 2006.
The position would be posted in the spring and a recruitment consultant will be used to help find qualified candidates.
First round interviews would begin in June. An interview committee will recommend two to four finalists to the Commissioners.
Stoll wants to have someone in place before Norman’s last day on December 31, 2024.
