COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The star of the film “Jesus Christ Superstar” is scheduled to make a guest appearance for a special screening of the film on Saturday, March 23 at the Tibbits Opera House.
Celebrating the film’s 50th anniversary release, Ted Neeley will introduce a newly remastered print of the film.

This will be Neeley’s only appearance in Michigan and is a Midwest exclusive appearance.
The film was adapted from the Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice Broadway rock opera.
Jesus Christ Superstar recounts the last days of Jesus Christ from the perspective of Judas, his betrayer.
The film was nominated for multiple Academy and Golden Globe Awards.
At a pre-show VIP reception, Neeley will share stories to a limited number of ticket holders. Those VIP tickets range from $175 to $250 and are available at https://tedneeley.com/.
The film starts at 7:00 p.m. with a bonus showing of the documentary “SUPERSTARS” on the making of the film beginning at 6:00 p.m..
Neeley will meet and greet attendees after the film.
