QUINCY, MI (WTVB) – There may be no snow on the ground or ice on the lake, and the temperatures have been near 60 degrees this week, but the 61st edition of the Quincy Chain of Lakes Tip-Up Festival will be held on Saturday.
This will be the second straight year the festival has been held on Tip Up Island after it was cancelled in 2021 and 2022 because of the COVID-19 pandemic and major summertime storms.
Quincy High School senior Payton Gross is this year’s Quincy Tip Up Queen.
Something new this year will be a squirrel hunt. Other events for the family friendly one day event include a craft show, wood cutting, fishing contests and kids games.
The 41st Polar Bear Splash will take place at 12:00 noon, with the Fisherman’s Ball set for 8:00 p.m. Saturday evening.
Mickey Connin Sr. will serve as Tip-Up Mayor this year while Dave Coco will be the Tip-Up Sheriff.
More information can be found on the Quincy Chain of Lakes Tip-Up Facebook page.
