COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Branch County Clerk Terry Kubasiak says there were a total of 316 ballots cast during the eight days of early in person voting for the presidential primary which concluded on Sunday.
All early voting in Branch County is being held this year at the Dearth Community Center in Coldwater.
Kubasiak says the busiest day was last Friday, February 23, when 47 ballots were cast. She said there was an average of about 35 votes per day.
Early voting will be available once again ahead of the August Primary and the November General Election.
Kubasiak says the county will be reimbursed for the cost of the early in-person voting by the state Republican and Democrat parties. The county will be able apply for reimbursement from the State of Michigan for the balloting in August and November.
Voting during the presidential primary on Tuesday will be from 7:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. at normal polling locations around the county.

With the exception of actual absentee voting for ligament reasons, early voting benefits no one but the people and parties you vote for. It does however keep the voter from possibly getting all of the information they may need to make a decision that is as informed as possible. Think of all of last-minute revelations and antics that have occurred in the past that a person wouldn’t know about if they had voted before they happened.
Why do you think politicians and parties are pushing it?
Quick! Vote before you find what we did!
