STEUBEN COUNTY, IN (WTVB) – A Fremont, Indiana resident was arrested Friday afternoon following a motorcycle chase involving the Steuben County Sheriff’s Office.
Sheriff Rodney Robinson says the pursuit started at about 4:30 p.m. when a deputy tried to stop a motorcycle for failing to display a license plate in the area of Golden Lake Road and County Road 150 South.
Robinson says the operator of the motorcycle then fled at a high rate of speed into the city of Angola near Love’s Truck Stop. At U.S. 20, the motorcycle turned westbound out of the city limits and continued to travel at a high rate of speed.
The chase continued on roads west of Angola before the suspect turned back to the east on U.S. 20.
The pursuit went back Angola before it turned south on West Fox Lake Road. The suspect slowed enough to allow deputies to box in the motorcycle and safely bring the pursuit to an end in the area of County Road 175 South.
The suspect was identified as 19-year-old Collin Robert Green. He was booked into the Steuben County Jail on preliminary charges of level 6 felony resisting law enforcement with a vehicle and class B misdemeanor possession of Marijuana. He later posted a cash bond and was released.
