Linda Rae Kling, 74, of Coldwater, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, March 2, 2024 in Houston, TX.
Cremation has taken place, and a celebration of Linda’s life will be held at a later date in Coldwater, MI as well as Phoenix, AZ.
Linda was born August 3, 1949 to Ray and Veryl (Wigton) Cammack in Sioux Falls, SD. She was a Lennox High School graduate of 1967 and attended the University of South Dakota.
In 1961, Linda’s parents became the founders of Ray Cammack Shows, the Premier Carnival Midway Shows in North America, which remains true still to this day. Linda and her sisters, Delia and Charlene, looked forward to traveling to many different cities and states throughout their childhood. After college, Linda pursued the carnival life in which she loved. She also very much enjoyed working side- by-side with her family.
In 1985, Linda married Bill Kling, a concessionaire on Ray Cammack Shows. Together, they owned and operated many concession’s over the years. After the passing of Linda’s father, her sister Charlene (Guy) Leavitt acquired Ray Cammack Shows in 1985, based out of Phoenix, AZ. Linda was always very proud of her parents and family with their accomplishments in the carnival industry.
In 2012, Bill and Linda moved to Coldwater, MI to be closer to their children and grandchildren. Linda was a wonderful woman with a kind-heart who enjoyed spending her free time while home crafting, antiquing, planting flowers, gardening, and feeding her birds. Linda and Bill traveled all over the country as they loved adventure, especially going on road trips to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and meeting new people.
Bill and Linda continued to work on RCS, where she was in charge of Guest Services and a drug testing program.
Linda is survived by her husband of 38 years Bill Kling of Coldwater, MI; sisters Delia Ritter and Charlene (Guy) Leavitt all of Phoenix, AZ; children Bob (Sarah) Kling of Coldwater, MI, step-daughter Shanti (Darryl) Converse of Quincy, MI; grandchildren Bailey Leavitt of Phoenix, AZ, Tyler Kling and Morgan Kling of Coldwater, MI; step-granddaughters Krystal Miller and Hannah Wilber of Coldwater, MI; great granddaughters Arden and Riley, and many beloved nieces & nephews.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, son Michael Ray Moxley, and step-son William Lynn Kling II.
