COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Chet Janik from the Michigan Leadership Institute was chosen by Branch County Commissioners on Tuesday to help them search for a new County Administrator.
Janik told Commissioners during their work session last week that with the search sites available, the search would be national.
When asked if there were any time concerns or conflicts with other projects that he is working on, Janik said he doesn’t feel that there would be any issues.
Their cost is not to exceed $10,250 which was less than the $23,000 cost that would have been charged by the Michigan Municipal League.
Janik’s firm will help Commissioners find the successor for Bud Norman after he announced in January he would be retiring when his contract runs out at the end of the year.
Interviews with candidates are anticipated to start in June with Commissioners tentatively scheduled to conduct final interviews in August.
The hiring of a new administrator is scheduled to take place in October.
