Carol A. (Jones) McQueen, 88, of Union City, passed away Thursday, March 14, 2024 at Maple Lawn Medical Care Facility in Coldwater.
A celebration of Carol’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 18, 2018 at Lighthouse Funeral & Cremation, 1276 Tate Trail, Union City, MI 49094. Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery in Union City.
Visitation will be held for one hour prior the service Monday, beginning at 1:00 p.m., also at Lighthouse in Union City.
Carol was born on December 16, 1935 in Elwood, Indiana, where she was raised by her parents John and Fern (Hobbs) Jones. On January 10, 1954, she married Paul McQueen. She graduated from Elwood High School with the Class of 1953.
Carol lived in Indiana until moving to Union City in 1962. She worked at Griswold’s in Union City, retiring in 1997 after 29 years. Carol and Paul owned and operated P and C Fox Farm for many years. Paul served in the U.S. Army for several years and Carol was right by his side.
She enjoyed fishing, hunting, bird watching, spending time outdoors, but most of all, time spent with her family.
Surviving are her daughters, Donita (Steve) Bahlman of Union City and Laura (Dan) Inman of Union City; her grandchildren, Ellyann (Corey) Markos of East Leroy, Mitchell Inman of Sherwood , and Mackenzie (Nick) Frank of Pflugerville, TX,; her great-grandchildren, Tinley Inman, Witt Markos, Dutton Markos; her siblings, Marilyn (Jim) Zabonick of Coldwater, Myra Connin of Union City, Aleta (Barry) Linscott of Battle Creek and Neva (Mike) Howard of Coldwater; and her many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and granddaughter, Whitney Bahlman, and her brother-in-law Harold Connin.
