Meanwhile, Short’s Root Beer Stand at 378 West Chicago in Coldwater opened for another season last Wednesday and it was a record breaking day.
The drive-in was originally B&K Root Beer back in the mid 60s before it was operated by the Allen family.
Ted Short and his family became the owners in 2013.
Short’s opens every year in March and closes in October but it re-opened during the off season for two months following the state ban on dine-in service that was issued in November of 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic.
