QUINCY, MI (WTVB) – Ryan Hasten has taken over as the new head football coach at Quincy High School.
Hasten is a Quincy High School graduate and current member of the Oriole football staff.
He said in a letter to Quincy parents, players and community, “During my time at Quincy, I was fortunate enough to be part of a number of outstanding Big 8 Championship level teams and experience the State Championship in ’98. I understand what great coaching, great culture and great teams look like and my goal is to pay it forward to all the great men that coached me and shaped my life as a young athlete.”
Hasten has worked at Aunt Millie’s for over 20 years, most recently as a Director in the Supply Chain.
He went on to say in his letter, “My philosophy as a coach is simple; inspire and motivate the student athletes to be the best version of themselves in the classroom and on the field…how we do anything is how we do everything. To me, the keys to being good at anything revolve around our attitude, effort and preparation. Once we embody these values, the scoreboard will take care of itself. I am under no illusions that it will be easy, but I am ready to attack the opportunity head on and get going.”
