COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Branch County Courthouse will be undergoing a number of infrastructure improvements later this year after the Branch County Board of Commissioners allocated $3 million of the county’s ARPA funds for courtroom and bathroom renovations along with painting and caulking.
County Administrator Bud Norman recapped where things stood during the Commissioners work session on Thursday.
He said bids for caulking work will be submitted on April 12. Norman expects the work will continue through most of 2024.
Commissioners went along with a proposal from Norman that he and County Complex Manager Scott Walls review and make recommendations to the board on items that have an impact to the county of less than $500,000 of ARPA funds. Anything over that amount will be brought to the board for a decision.

I’ll bid the caulking job for $300,000. and not a penny less.
