Dirt track racing was a particular favorite of Coop’s, spending many hours working on his own dirt late model with drivers Greg Cooper and Mark Pifer and attending many races at Butler Speedway and dirt tracks throughout Michigan, Indiana, and Ohio.
Sports were a major pillar in Coop’s life as he was an avid fan of all Michigan sports whether it was the Lions, Pistons, Tigers, or U of M competing,
Rich was there to show his support; but above all, he was the biggest fan and loved to watch his grandson Kameron compete in bowling and soccer and basketball at Factoryville Christian School.
