Patricia L. Jackson, 77, of Coldwater passed away Sunday, April 7, 2024, at her home.
A Funeral Mass will be held Friday, April 12, 2024, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Charles Borromeo Church in Coldwater with Rev. Fr. Dan Hyman officiating.
Visitation will be held Thursday, April 11, 2024, from 4:00-7:00 p.m, with the Rosary to begin at 7:00 p.m. at Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater.
Pat was born November 2, 1946, in Grand Rapids, MI, the daughter of Walter & Louise (Patrick) Alley.
Ms. Jackson began working with the Murphy’s stores in Coldwater and then Hillsdale. She spent most of her career, in all capacities of journalism and management, for the Coldwater Daily Reporter, winning numerous awards.
Pat later spent 14 years as the parish secretary for St. Charles Borromeo Church until her retirement in 2012.
Pat was a member of St. Charles Church where she prepared funeral dinners and also school lunches for many years, earning the church’s Mary Kriser award for her dedication and service.
She loved children and was known by many as “Grammy”, regularly caring for her own grandchildren, along with many others.
Pat enjoyed drawing and looked forward to weekly casino trips, but spending time with her family was what she treasured most.
Pat is survived by her children Beth Briscoe of Coldwater, Jim (Julie) Charles of Louisville, KY; her stepson Daryl Pavelko, Jr. of Montgomery; her brother Bill (Pat) Carlson of Coldwater; her grandchildren Shaun (Lacie) Briscoe of Sturgis, Patrick (Claire) Briscoe of Frederick, MD, Andrew Briscoe of Coldwater, Ashley (Kyle) Bloomer of Maricopa, AZ, Kristin (Rachel Rich) Charles of Coxs Creek, KY, Tyler Charles of Louisville, KY; her great grandchildren Shaun Coleman, Maggie Sharp, Christian Briscoe, Jane Bloomer and Cora Bloomer; and her former spouse Daryl Pavelko of Coldwater.
Memorials may be directed to St. Charles School, St. Jude Children’s Hospital or Tunnel to Towers.
