Bobbye Schoneboom, 89, of Bronson, MI passed away Saturday, April 13, 2024 at her home.
The funeral service will be held Thursday, April 18, 2024, at 12:00 p.m. at Dutcher Funeral Home in Bronson with Rev. Terry Siler officiating.
Visitation will be held prior to the service beginning at 10:00 a.m. at Dutcher Funeral Home in Bronson. Cremation will follow the service.
Bobbye was born May 28, 1934, to William Albert & Arizona (Long)Jackson in Moss Bluff, Louisiana. She married Jerry Fruge July 23, 1959. He preceded her in death May 30, 2004.
Bobbye got a second chance on love and married Donald H. Schoneboom October 28, 2016, in Mountain View, Arkansas.
Bobbye was a professional secretary, working at various places, including the Port of St. Charles in Louisiana. She was raised in Louisiana and lived in Arkansas for many years, until meeting Don, when she moved to Bronson.
Bobby was a great cook; she loved to garden and was a gifted musician, singer and dancer. She enjoyed playing the keyboard, having her own band for 7 years. She knew and loved many styles of dance, especially folk dancing, performing at many venues.
Bobbye is survived by her husband Don; her children James (Cindy) Roberts of Iowa, LA, Michael (Tammy) Fruge of Lexington, NC, Vanessa (Zack) Scarbrough of Conway, Ak; her step-children Vickie (Bill) Stayner of Coldwater, Craig Schoneboom of Coldwater, Perry (Kimberly) Schoneboom of Quincy, Brad Schoneboom of Palm Coast, FL, Brian Schoneboom of Mesa, AZ; her brothers and sisters Wilma Hodges, Verdice Jackson, Carlton (Joy) Jackson, Larry (Lindsay) Jackson, sister-in-law Juanita Jackson; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
In addition to her first husband, she was preceded in death by her brothers W.A. Jackson, George Jackson; brother-in-law Percy Hodges and sister-in-law Alice Jackson.
