COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – As the City of Coldwater’s Recreation Department plan for Strawberry Fest June 15, potential vendors are being warned about an uptick in social media comments from scammers who are not representatives of the City of Coldwater or the Recreation Department.
Vendor applications are available under the Rec Department tab at Coldwater.org.
Potential vendors are reminded to be vigilant and only communicate with Mariah Welke, Julie Santure, or Margo Boyd at the Coldwater Recreation Center at (517) 278-8566 to secure a vendor space.
The city took over organizing the event in 2019. Locally-grown strawberries, crafts, live entertainment and a variety of food truck vendors will be available for this year’s event.
Organizers estimated over 10,000 people attended last year. Plans are still being finalized for all activities.
The annual festival is free and will take place in the Tibbits Plaza, along the south side of U.S. 12, and along South Monroe and South Hanchett Streets.
Very sad that people are so lazy that they become scammers to entertain themselves, cause havoc, or try to con money out of people.
