INDIANA TOLL ROAD (WTVB) – Indiana State Police Troopers from several districts came together last week to conduct a saturation patrol on the Indiana Toll Road.
The Troopers focused their efforts on aggressive driving and criminal interdiction from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. on Monday April 15 and Tuesday April 16.
These patrols resulted in 36 criminal arrests including four on felonies.
There were also 28 arrests for drugs and three OWI arrests.
Indiana State Police report there were 24 inspections of commercial motor vehicles, 37 moving citations, 40 non-moving citations and 148 warnings issued.
Only two minor crashes were reported during this period at toll plazas.
Major Tony Casto, Indiana State Police North Zone Major, said, “With the construction and vacation season upon us, the goal of the ISP is to reduce the number of serious bodily injury and fatal crashes.”
