He was born March 16, 1938, in Coldwater to Harry and Edna Mae (Snyder) Sinclair. He married Theodora “Teddy” Etheridge on July 12, 1959, and she survives.
Don grew up in Coldwater and later moved to a farm near Black Hawk Mill Pond. In the early 1950’s, he moved to the Girard area with his aunt and uncle, Margaret and Robert King. After marrying Teddy in 1959, they moved to a farm northeast of Quincy, where they still reside today.
Don graduated from Tekonsha High School in 1956. He was a truck driver for Southern Michigan Grocery for several years, then worked at Evans Products in Coldwater from 1969-1986, and finally retiring from Terra International. During his entire working career, he also found time to maintain his farm in Quincy, where he was known to have several unusual animals throughout his time.
Beyond his work, Don loved bowling. For over 60 years, he bowled in several leagues at Midway Lanes in Coldwater. He also had a passion for antique tractors and attending tractor pulls.
Surviving besides his wife, Teddy; son, Kirk Sinclair; granddaughter, Samantha Sinclair; aunt, Margaret King; sister-in-law, Karen Wood; and many nieces nephews and cousins also survive.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Robert Sinclair and Michael Wood; grandparents, Leland and Maude Snyder; aunts and uncles, Melvin and Darlene Snyder and Robert King; and brothers-in-law, Gene and John Yost.
Memorial donations are suggested to the Branch County Fair for antique tractor events or the Quincy Library.
