HILLSDALE, MI (WTVB) – The Hillsdale City Police Department are not releasing very many details about a Monday two vehicle fatal crash involving a tow truck and a car that they are investigating.
It happened at West Carleton Road, otherwise known as M-99, and Industrial Drive on Hillsdale’s north side.
The driver of the car was killed in the crash. Coldwater Towing and Recovery says one of their vehicles was involved. They said in a Facebook post that their driver is okay after being checked out at a nearby hospital.
Our attempts to contact Police Chief Scott Hephner have been unsuccessful but he told the Hillsdale Daily News they are not releasing names yet even though the fatal victim’s family has been notified.
The Daily News reported driver of the car was stopped on Industrial Road and entered Carleton Road where the crash took place.
Pictures from the crash scene showed significant damage to the front of the tow truck.
The Hillsdale Fire Department, the Michigan State Police and Reading Emergency Unit were among those assisting at the scene.
