BRANCH COUNTY, MI (WTVB) – The month of April in Branch County is closing out with sunny skies which is a welcome relief to all of the rainy days that have taken place this month.
The Michigan State University Extension Service weather station at the Bloom Dairy Farm west of Coldwater recorded 4.06 inches of rain on 17 of the 30 days this month.
When Easter weekend in thrown in, there has been rain on 19 of the last 32 days with a total of 4.71 inches.
The average amount of rain for Coldwater during April is 3.42 inches.
As they say, you can run but you can’t hide. More soggier conditions were reported in northeast Indiana.
The National Weather Service in northern Indiana says April of 2024 will go down as the wettest April in Fort Wayne’s history as 7.39 inches of rain was recorded, which is just over twice the average monthly rainfall for that city.
