COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater Board of Public Utilities recently received several awards and recognitions from the American Public Power Association during their Engineering and Operations Technical Conference in New Orleans between April 7 and 10.
The utility was given the Certificate of Excellence in Reliability. Harold Jenkins from the CBPU says utilities with high reliability figures are recognized with a certificate.
The CBPU received a Gold Level Excellence in Safety Award.
Andrew Cameron added during the Wednesday CBPU Board of Directors meeting they had received a Certificate of Excellence in Reliability in connection with recent Mother Nature events.
The CBPU has also earned a Diamond RP3 designation. The Diamond Level is the
highest designation a utility can receive. CBPU was one of 91 members to earn a three-year designation as a Reliable Public Power Provider (RP3) during this cycle.
