Sabrina “Muggie” Marie Aughenbaugh, 67, of Coldwater passed away Tuesday, April 30, 2023 at Ascension Borgess Hospital in Kalamazoo, MI.
A funeral service will be held Monday, May 6, 2024 at 12:00 p.m. at Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater with Pastor Joshua Englehart officiating.
The family will receive guests for visitation that morning from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home.
A burial of ashes will take place at Oak Grove Cemetery in Coldwater at a later date.
She was born January 27, 1957 to Douglas and Rose (Roady) Shelton in Alton, IL. October 20, 1979 Sabrina married Robin L. Aughenbaugh in Lakeland, FL and he preceded her in death on February 8, 2009.
Sabrina graduated from Spring Arbor University receiving her Bachelor’s degree where she then pursued her position as the Senior Care Administrator at the First Baptist Church in Coldwater. After a fulfilling career with the church, she worked at the Lamppost Christian Book store where she ultimately retired.
Sabrina faithfully attended the First Baptist Church in Coldwater and was a member of the ABW Board. She truly harbored a servant’s heart as she volunteered at the Tibbits Opera House as often as she could as the coordinator of ushers and house supervisors.
Sabrina was a talented seamstress and painter, enjoyed crafts of all kinds, and in her earlier years taught basket weaving. She found much joy in going to the movie theater and sharing those memories with those closest to her; but her greatest passion in life was her family, especially her grandchildren that she dearly cherished.
Sabrina leaves behind her sons Jeremy (Stephanie) Aughenbaugh of Coldwater, Brenton (Cayla) Aughenbaugh of Jackson; her sister Lori (Jim Criswell) Fay of Toledo, OH; and her grandchildren Maddy, Ellie, Gwen, Max, Luca, Oliver, Bobby, and Lilliana.
In addition to her husband Robin, she was preceded in death by her parents and her father and mother-in-law Bob (Joy) Aughenbaugh.
Memorial donations are suggested to the Tibbits Opera House or to Gentiva Hospice.
