QUINCY, MI (WTVB) – The Quincy Orioles baseball team finished second at their Oriole Classic on Saturday.
The Orioles defeated Comstock 8-3 in their first game. Ryan Kempter and Jimmy Maynard combined to strike out 13 Colt hitters.
Mason Graves came on to record the final 2 outs to earn the save.
At the plate the Orioles walked a total of 11 times and recorded five hits. Alex Barry had the big bat getting two hits including a two run single. Mickey Connin had a base hit and three RBIs.
Quincy lost to Parchment 5-1 as the Panthers claimed the Invite title. The Panthers out hit the Orioles 10-5.
The Orioles were led at the plate by Grant Holroyd who collected two hits. Christian Craven recorded the lone RBI.
