Beverly Ann Weaver, 81, of Bronson passed away peacefully Friday, May 3, 2024 at her Gilead Lake residence. Her husband of nearly 62 years, Alan (Butch), was holding her hand when she left this world to enter into Heaven.
A visitation will be held Tuesday, May 7, 2024 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at Dutcher Funeral Home of Bronson followed by Rosary led by Deacon John Wielgos.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, May 8, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary of Assumption Church in Bronson followed by interment at North Gilead Cemetery.
Beverly was born June 5, 1942 to Leonard and Flossie (Herman) Malovey in Coldwater, MI. She married Alan (Butch) Weaver June 2, 1962 in Bronson, MI.
Beverly worked for Gilead Township for 32 years, maintaining cemeteries moving up to clerk, and then leaving as a supervisor. She also worked for Bronson Community Schools as an administrative assistant for 30 years until her retirement in 2004. She was lovingly known as ‘Miss Bev’ by those children she had a passion of working with and helping. She made lifelong friends there as well.
Beverly was an active member at St. Mary’s. She loved reading, gardening, and ceramics with her friends. Beverly adored being a mother and grandmother and positively gushed when speaking about each and every one of them. Beverly taught her family the meaning of family and how to treat others in this world.
Beverly is survived by her husband, Alan (Butch) Weaver; her children Melissa Stoneburner of Bronson, and Marchelle “Marcy” Rzepka of Lansing; her grandsons, Reese Stoneburner of North Carolina and Drew Stoneburner of Iowa; and her niece Cheryl Back.
Beverly was preceded in death by her son Mark Weaver, her sister Virginia Ernsberger and her parents Leonard and Flossie Malovey.
