UNION CITY, MI (WTVB) – The Village of Union City will be conducting hydrant flushing next week.
Flushing is scheduled to take place between for May 13 and 17 and village officials say brown water is possible during this time. This occurs as iron deposits are flushed from the water mains that occur naturally over time.
If you get brown water, let the water run from a faucet until it clears up.
Check the status of the water before doing laundry or other such tasks during this time.
The Village will conduct an automated call to all water utility customers with a number on file on Thursday with this same information.
If you have any question, contact the Village Office at (517) 741-8591 or in person at 101 South Broadway during business hours.
