BRANCH COUNTY, MI (WTVB) – All of the Branch County track and field teams were in action on Wednesday night and it was a good night for the Coldwater, Union City and Quincy squads.
Both of the Coldwater teams picked up a pair of wins. The boys defeated Marshall 91 1/2 to 71 1/2 and Pennfield 131 to 32. The Coldwater girls defeated Marshall 107 to 50 and Pennfield 116 to 34.
Coldwater winners in the boys meet were Claudel Wischmeyer (400), Drew Vanderpuyl (1600), Luke Aerts (3200), Kendall Austin (110 hurdles, 300 hurdles and long jump), Jackson Reilly (shot put and discus) and Cooper Otto (pole vault). Coldwater also got a win in the 1,600 relay thanks to the team of Bennett McDonald, Mason Sabaitis, Landon Dirschell and Wischmeyer.
Coldwater got wins in the girls meet from Madilynn Persails (100 hurdles), Morgan Baker (300 hurdles), Elli Foley (shot put and discus), Jaelah Sloan (high jump), Ava Longstreet (pole vault) and Ella Grabowski (long jump). Coldwater won three out of four relay races. Finishing first were Miyah Moore, Longstreet, Abigail Robinson and Persails in the 400, Moore, Grace Huff, Thompson and Sloan in the 800 and Olivia Golematis, Adriana Hernandez, Baker and Annika Johnson in the 1600.

Quincy also scored a pair of sweeps as the boys defeated Maple Valley 118 to 21 and Reading 86 to 56. The Quincy girls defeated Maple Valley 118 to 17 and Reading 103 to 38.
Quincy got wins in the boys meet from Noah Pearson (400), Jeremiah Bedford (800), Chayse Jensen (1600), Nathan Richer (3200), Clayton Benson (110 hurdles), Lincoln Sims (shot put), Alex Dunn (high jump) and Corey Turner (pole vault).
First place finishers for the Orioles in the girls meet were Elizabeth Craig (400), Kendyl Musielewicz (1600), Katharina Paschke (1600), Raylee Fulton (3200), Brookelyn Parker (100 hurdles and 300 hurdles), Abigail Miller (high jump), Lita Fulton (pole vault) and Abigail Tinervia (long jump).
Quincy got wins in the 400 relay (Fulton, Kali Kugler, Cheyenne Marske and Tinervia), the 1600 relay (Craig, Musielewicz, Parker and Lita Fulton) and the 3200 relay (Raylee Fulton, Paschke, Musielewicz and Sadie Miller)

Union City swept Bronson in a dual meet by scores of 86 to 50 in the boys meet and 90 to 45 in the girls meet.
The big highlight for the Union City boys came from Logan Cole as he won the discus and broke his own school record with a distance of 164 feet, 11 inches. Cole also won the shot put. Other Union winners in the boys meet were Caden Hughes (100), Riley Laird (200), Ben Gautsche (1600), Jason Shoop (3200), Nathaniel Maurer (110 hurdles and 300 hurdles) and Rick Austin (long jump). Bronson winners were Kamern Bracket (400), Boston Bucklin (800 and high jump) and Brycen Fincham (pole vault). Union City won three out of four relays. The Chargers won the 400 (Hughes, Owen Kincaid, Laird and Austin), the 800 (Maurer, Kincaid, Laird and Hunter Sinke) and the 3200 (Shoop, Cohen Burdick, Malachi Payne and Gautsche).
Union City winners in the girls meet were Attica Hoath (200), Parker Williams (400), Alissa Skirka (800), Skyler Fraley (1600 and 3200), Nevada Gillons (100 hurdles, 300 hurdles and long jump) and Kylie Creech (pole vault). Bronson winners were Itzel Albarran (100), Zoay Herbert (shot put) and Skylar Smith (discus and high jump). Bronson won the 400 relay with the team of Albarran, Addison Calloway, Miriam Sanchez and Jaiden Hayes. Union City won the 800 relay (Willow Austin, Parker Williams, Alaina Hoath and Addison Miller), the 1660 relay (Austin, Hoath, Lillian Eyre and Williams) and the 3200 relay (Skirka, Eyre, Williams and Allison Gautsche).
