NILES, MI (WTVB) – The Bronson Vikings girls softball team improved their record to 22-9 with a 2-1 victory over Niles Brandywine on Monday afternoon.
Ashlynn Harris was the winning pitcher as she struck out 12 batters in six innings of work.
Ciara Blankenship and Lydia Wells both had two hits for the Vikings. Blankenship also stole two bases.
Braelynn Gimenez belted a double.
Coach Becky Gray said, “Ashlynn pitched a good game, the defense played behind her, and we had enough hits to win the game. I feel like we are playing well right now and hopefully will continue to peak at the right time.”
